1stplugins s.r.o. was founded in 2006 by Tomas Zahradnicky with focus on two areas – plug-ins and reverse engineering. We have been developing plug-ins for FileMaker Pro since 2001 and have developed more than 5 commercially successful plug-ins for 3rd party plug-in developers. The company also produced several plug-ins for QuarkXPress version 3.3, 4, 5, and 6. We also specialize in software engineering and reverse engineering of computer software, firmware and hardware
Tomas Zahradnicky founded the company back in 2006, yet during his studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE) of the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). He studied Computer Science and received a master degree in Computer Science (in programming languages and compilers) in 2004. Tomas continued his studies and in 2010 received his Ph.D. in Computer Science (my thesis). For almost 10 years he worked as an assistant professor at CTU lecturing computer architectures, secure code, security, operating systems internals, and reverse engineering. He created 3 computer security courses for the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT), 2 of them mandatory for the Computer Security master specialization. Though Tomas decided to quit his full-time position at FIT in 2015, he is still a part-time teacher in reverse engineering and security. Since 2015 he works full-time in two companies: 1stplugins creating plug-ins and doing reverse engineering and his another company Boxtrap spol. s r.o. doing vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and source code analyses.
Tomas has wide experiences with plug-in programming, especially for FileMaker Pro and QuarkXPress on both macOS and Windows platforms. He is an expert in reverse engineering and knows several assembly languages such as Motorola 680×0, PowerPC, Intel IA-32, x86_64 and few microcontrollers such as Atmel ATMega 169 or PIC.
